FAMILY SUITE

Comprised of eight separate works designed to accentuate a San Francisco family’s full-ceilinged library, a small salon-style moment welcomes on entry from the street.

To the left, the tall fireplace and custom piece above anchor the room, drawing the eye up. The pieces celebrate togetherness, a joy of reading, color and the myriad interests of the family members, and are meant to bring a modern feel to formal spaces.

Down the hall, the suite is completed by a portrait of tight knit sisters, specially designed for an existing gallery nook.

Living room with two beige sofas, glass coffee table, fireplace, built-in shelves with decor and photographs, and a colorful abstract painting above the fireplace.
A white wall decorated with six oval and round ceramic art pieces featuring floral and abstract designs in various colors. A small white stool is placed on a patterned beige and gray rug, next to part of a bed with a gray and white patterned blanket and a cushion.
Two young girls with dark hair and large eyes standing on a pink and white carpet, surrounded by hanging orange decorations, against a blue background.
Colorful illustration of four fantastical girls with different skin tones and hairstyles, sitting and standing on clouds, surrounded by decorative elements like umbrellas, flags, and lanterns, with a neutral background.

a transportive, immersive experience.

Whether set alone or in large groups, these delightful characters pop off the wall, creating depth and shadows. An ever so slight departure from our 2D work.

Originally installed in 2019 for San Francisco’s international art fair, FOG Fair, we expanded on the concept for 2022’s FOG Fair, and have been evolving the concept since..

as long as we’ve shown in galleries, we’ve been adding large painted backgrounds to walls behind.
this hybrid environmental work expounds on this concept of layering, also deeply intrinsic to our studio work. on a much bigger scale.

A16

Our partnership with A16, has existed since the very beginning of this legendary restaurant 20 years ago.

Whether the flagship on Chestnut street in San Francisco, to the massive wall work in the Marunouchi District’s Tokyo A16, every space has its own style, yet is still unmistakably KEFE + A16.
